Meet the Artist
My name is Baylee, and I am an art therapist and artist. I have my BA in studio arts (emphasis in sculpture) and psychology from UNI. I also have my MA in art therapy and clinical counseling from Adler Graduate School. As an art therapist, I specialize in senior and dementia populations. In my own art, I mix in art therapy techniques and enjoy exploring all kinds of materials. I love playing with textures, movement, and beauty. Beauty, for me, is something I find in nature, animals, people, aging, and emotions. Often times, I use mixed media from nature and recycled materials, along with traditional art materials. I sometimes incorporate humor in my artwork because we all need a laugh!

The Art Hive's Donations
Don't worry, I do NOT want your money as a donation! I'm talking about materials! I like using recycled materials and nature for my art. I tend to scavenge for nature in my yard, parks, and plant shops. I collect recycled materials in our household, and I love using the Iowa Waste Exchange program (you can connect with them if you have unwanted recyclable materials, too!) when I am looking for specific materials. With all that being said, I do not always have access to materials I need for certain projects, or access to bulk supplies of a certain material. If you have recycled materials or nature that's dying or unwanted, please reach out and let me know! Look at my FAQ for more details on donated materials.
